The first thing you see when you arrive in Hainan, China is clear blue skies.
Glorious September sunshine and clear crispy fairways await golfers from Haikou in the North to Wanning City in the Shenzhou Peninsula (West Coast Central region) to the Southern tropical region of Sanya.
Every region has its own personal and unique characteristics on an island the size of Hainan. (33,950 sq km) With a total coastline measuring 1529km Hainan boasts a multitude of options for a true golfing holiday!
Come along with us and relive our day to day journey of the adventures and experiences that the South East Asian Media Delegates encountered throughout the One Week visit hosted by the warmth and generosity of both Hainan and Sanya Tourism Commission Development and organised by Haikou Nice Golf Co. Ltd and GolfplusOne Media Singapore.
The Delegates were greeted by a ‘Hawaiian Style’ Welcome complete with Orchid leis by staff of Haikou Nice Golf.
We were soon whisked off to the Mission Hills Haikou Hotel where we were treated to a welcome lunch by the Exec Director of Nice Golf, Ms Shirley Yip. We immediately tasted the famous Hainan cuisine of Hainanese Chicken Rice, fresh greens and succulent fresh water fish and a delicious seafood variety of scallops and prawns.
