Tanggerang, 24 August, The final round of BNI Ciputra Golf Preneur 2024 has just finished. The performance at the Damai Indah Golf Course (BSD Course) closed the fierce competition for four rounds. The chase for points had been going on since the first round; there was no dominant player, and this time, Liu Yung-hua (TPE) won first place, who collected a total of 22 underpar from these four rounds. Today he played 7 underpar, 9 birdies, and 2 boogie. The match was very exciting; points followed between Liu Yung-hua and Matthew Cheung (HKG) up to the last hole. On the last hole, the points position was only 1 point apart; Liu Yung-hua was 21 underpar and Matthew Chueng was 20 underpar, and in hole 18, Liu Yung-hua got a birdie and Matthew was only even par. Vanchai Luangnitikul (THA), who played one flight, also got a birdie on the last hole, so that the final leaderboard was Liu Yung-Hua -22, Matthew Cheung -20, and Vanchai Luangnitikul -20.
“First of all, I was really nervous on the last hole because my second shot was 220 yards away and I was playing a 6-iron. But I had a good strategy and a good routine.” Liu Yung-hua said
Runchanapong Youprayoung (THA) managed to become the player who got the highest score in the fourth round, with 8 underpar with 9 birdies and 1 boogie, or a total of 64 strokes, immediately making Runchanapong move up to 9th position with a total of 12 underpar.
Indonesian player Jonathan Wijono (INA) played very well in the last round, getting 6 under par points from 7 birdies and 1 boogie on hole 16, so he closed the tournament with a total of 12 under par over these four rounds. This shows a quite mature performance from Jowi, Jonathan Wijono’s nickname, who this month managed to occupy the top 9 position in the International Series England tournament at Foxhills Club & Resort last August 11. This result makes Jowi even more ready to face another Asian tour tournament, namely the Indonesia Open 2024 at Damai Indah Golf (PIK Course) next week, 29 August–1 Sept.
Not much different from Jowi, Jonathan Hartono (INA), who is also an Indonesian amateur player, is in 14th position with a total of 11 underpar points from a total of four rounds. This tournament, which is part of the Asian Tour, is a very good stepping stone for Jojo, nicknamed Jonathan Hartono.
With these results, Jonathan Wijono is entitled to get the best Indonesian professional player, and Jonathan Hartono gets the best Indonesian amateur player.
