Good news for golf fans in Indonesia at the beginning of 2025, the Indonesia Women’s Open 2025 will be the debut of a women’s professional golf tournament in Indonesia. This event will be held on 24-26 January 2025 at Damai Indah Golf – BSD Course. The event, which will be held by the Asian Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF), is a co-sanction between the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT).

This will be the opening tournament for the 2025 Asia-Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit) tour series. The APAC Circuit itself is the result of a cooperation agreement between AGLF and KLPGT.  This tournament will be attended by around 120 participants from the KLPGT dream tour and golfers from 12 Asia Pacific countries, including Indonesia. Indonesia itself will send 26 female golfers to this event as host.

KMK Group, which is the main sponsor for this event, represented by Mr. CK Song as the chairman & CEO of KMK Group, gave his views about this event.  “Why did we choose Indonesia? Because Indonesia has potential. In the past, golf in Korea was not a well-known sport and was even known as an expensive sport, but when Korean female golfer Park Se-Ri became champion on the LPGA and became a hero of women’s golf, since then golf has been around. Golf is becoming famous, and more and more children are switching to golf until now so that the world’s female golfers are dominated by golfers from Korea. This is what we want to do for Indonesia; we want to create new golf heroes in Indonesia.” CK Song said.

One of the Indonesian golfers who will participate in this event, Kristina Natalia Yoko, said, This tournament will be her second tournament as a professional golf player, after Maybank in Malaysia .
