Tanggerang, 23 August. The third day of the 2024 BNI Ciputra Golfpreneur Golf Championship was marked by a series of points on the leaderboard. The weather was very supportive at Damai Indah Golf (BSD Course), with cloudy weather and wind speeds that were not too strong like the previous days, making players more free to develop game plans and get better points from rounds one and two, such as Liu Yung-hua (tpe) getting 8 birdies from a total of 64 strokes. Starting from teebox 1, Liu got birdies on holes 4, 6, 7, and 8, then on the second nine he got birdies on holes 10, 13, 17, and 18. With this result, he shot up to third position on the leaderboard with Ekpharit Wu with 15 under par in this third round.
Meanwhile, the top of the leaderboard was again occupied by Vanchai Luangnitikul (THA), after he got 6 underpar with 5 birdies and 1 eagle but had to get 1 boogie on hole 8.
Behind Vanchai, Matthew Cheung (TPE) collected a total of 16 underpar from 3 rounds that had been played. Matthew played one flight with two Thais, Vanchai and Ekpharit Wu, playing steadily by getting 5 birdies without boogie, adding 5 underpar in this third round.
On the other hand, the Indonesian player who played quite well was Jonathan Hartono (INA). This amateur player played without feeling awkward even though he had to have one flight with senior players such as Huang Chi (TPE) and Rahil Gangjee (IND), collecting 4 underpar from a total of 68 strokes in this third round. This Harvard University student is one of the players from the Ciputra Golf Foundation family, playing very relaxed and without pressure since teeing off in the morning, producing 7 birdies and 3 birdies.
